Jananie Singer Songwriter and Visual Artist
Jananie is a Canadian/ SriLankan Tamil singer/songwriter and visual artist from Edmonton Alberta. She trained in Carnatic Indian classical music as a child, later influenced by her love for R&B, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Concious Reggae and Neo Soul. Jananie's live performances are immersive and thought provoking. Jananie also uses her merch as a unique and wearable canvas for her expressive artwork along with her hyper realistic portraiture. Jananie released her first EP "Grey" in 2022. After three years, Jananie released her highly anticipated 8 track concept album and sound journey "Laminar Flow" on April 25, 2025, followed by a sold out ,immersive and interactive album release show in the 360° Zeidler Dome Theatre at the Telus World of Science.
